The Ask
The idea for ViaAnalytics originated from a common challenge faced by businesses and professionals: extracting meaningful insights from unstructured data in PDFs and CMS files. Many companies rely on reports, invoices, financial statements, and research documents stored in these formats, but analyzing them manually is time-consuming and inefficient.
The Design
ViaAnalytics was created to help businesses extract insights from unstructured data in PDFs and CMS files. Manual analysis of reports and financial statements is inefficient, so we enabled pre-made prompt engineering for accurate AI responses and integrated QuickBooks to provide real-time financial insights and profit calculations.

Building ViaAnalytics required a strategic approach to handling unstructured data, AI-driven insights, and seamless user interaction. The development process focused on three core aspects: data extraction, AI processing, and visualization.
We implemented advanced OCR and NLP techniques to extract meaningful information from PDFs and CMS files. To enhance AI accuracy, we designed pre-made prompt engineering, ensuring the chatbot provided relevant, context-aware responses. Additionally, integrating QuickBooks allowed real-time financial data retrieval, enabling precise profit calculations and business insights.
For visualization, we used D3.js, Chart.js, and Plotly.js, creating interactive and dynamic graphs. The backend, built with FastAPI and Node.js, ensured scalability and fast processing, making ViaAnalytics a powerful tool for data-driven decision-making.
